Grandma Barb's Birthday

Noah and Mommy took Grandma Barb out for Brunch today to celebrate her birthday. We had a good breakfast and enjoyed gazing at Noah from across the table as we each took turns holding him.

After breakfast we took Noah shopping for a new stroller. We love our BOB Revolution stroller, but it's pretty heavy. We were looking for a lightweight stroller that is nice and compact. Fortunately we did find one for a reasonable price. Noah now has a new stroller. We'll use it everyday on our way into daycare everyday when he's a little bit bigger.

We had another good day with Grandma. Happy Birthday Grandma!

Noah's First Babysitting Experience

Every Friday the 13th, Eric and Jen go out to celebrate. Our first date was on a Friday the 13th. We also got engaged on Friday the 13th, so we enjoy celebrating them every time they come around. This was the first Friday the 13th, we decided to celebrate since Noah was born. We picked a neat little bistro called Marx in Stillwater as our destination.

On our way we dropped Noah off with the relatives. Noah's second cousin Jaci had been looking forward to babysitting Noah since before he was born. We brought our camera and left it with Jaci so she could take pictures of all the fun things Noah did while we were away. We had a wonderful meal and for the first time we didn't spend most of our conversation talking about Noah. The food was fabulous and Marx has a really neat atmosphere. But best of all, we had a little time to reconnect with one another. We're looking forward to going there again sometime.

One the way back to pick up Noah we stopped and grabbed dessert. We passed on dessert at the restaurant because we thought it would be more fun to sit and chat with the family. We aren't able to get together often enough so it's nice to take every chance we can to connect.

We heard all about Noah's fun evening and enjoyed the photos that Jaci had taken. Noah played with Jaci for much of the night. But he also had the opportunity to listen to Uncle Phil read to him and look at himself in the mirror with Aunt Cindy. Unfortunately, Marissa always got her turn when Noah was hungry so he wasn't a very happy camper. But we know he loves her anyway.

Here are a few photos from his exciting evening.
