4-Month Well Baby Check-up

Noah had his 4-month well baby check-up with his pediatrician on April 7th.

Here are the stats from his visit.
Weight: 13lbs 14oz (Weight for age: 27th percentile)
Length: 24 inches (Length for age: 16th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.25 inches (Head circumference for age: 24th percentile)
Weight to Length: 60th percentile

Noah's pediatrician said he's growing very well and there's no need to worry that he isn't getting enough to eat. In fact, she commented that he has quite the milk belly. "He has filled out well," she said. "There's no need to start rice cereal until he's 6-months."

Noah continues to hit his developmental milestones; however, his doctor advised us that he needs to get more tummy time. She instructed us to tell his daycare providers to give him 5 minutes of tummy time every hour. He's still taking his Zantac for his reflux, though we're holding out hope he will outgrow the reflux soon. We're also giving Noah vitamins A, C and D each day in the evening. The recommendations for vitamins have recently changed and Noah's pediatrician said she'd probably keep him on vitamins for quite some time (regardless of when he starts on solid foods).

Overall, Noah's very healthy and the pediatrician will see him again in 2 months. We're looking forward to watching him progress in the next two months.
