Noah's been on a streak of early morning wake-up calls lately. We're fairly confident that it is a result of his teething as he's still working on three of four molars we started to feel under his gums about a month ago. We're hypothesizing that his teeth are hurting him so much when he wakes in the middle of the night and early morning he can't get himself back to sleep. So the result is that Noah is waking us up around 1:30 and 4:30 every morning. We had a nice stretch of sleeping through the night last month, so knowing we did achieve the sleeping through the night milestone is holding up our morale to get through this rough patch. Hopefully after the teeth break through we can get back to sleeping 8 hours straight.
During the day, Noah is really starting to get interested in books. He'll pull books off his bookshelf and sit down to read them on his own. He's starting to recognize animals and make their noises. He's mastered the dog's woof, owl's hoo-hoo, duck's quack, and the cow's moo. The kitty is another matter. When you ask Noah what a kitties says, he responds "KITTY".
