Catching Up in Photos 3

First Haircut

Noah on his new Rocking Horse, special ordered by Grandpa Steve.

Noah likes to help us cook.

Bath-time is always fun!

One of Noah's new favorite hobbies... riding in the laundry basket.

This is how we find Noah in the morning when he doesn't decide to beat the sun and wake us up.

Noah was not happy with Mommy because he wanted to push the buttons on the camera and Mommy said "no".

Uh-Oh

This is a cute video we took of Noah today during lunch. Bear with him while he chews on his fingers for a short time before he decides to sign.

Noah is signing to us because he really likes cherries and wants more. He signs "More" then "Please". Then he throws is cherry on the floor and says uh-oh.

First Words

Noah started talking in January. His first couple of words came one right after another, but he reached his limit at two or three.

Noah's first word was "ball". When he says it the word sounds like "Baa". But we know he means ball because he either points to a ball or he goes and picks it up and brings the ball to you while he says "Baa."

Noah's second word was "Uh-Oh". Uh-oh is very clear. He understands that uh-oh means something isn't right. Usually he uses it correct, but one in a while he'll say uh-oh before he throws his food on the floor. I think it's his way of warning us that there is about to be something wrong.

The third word that Noah mixes in once in a while is Da--Da. Sometimes Noah will say Da--Da when Eric leaves the room and Noah is looking for him. However, other times Noah will say Da--Da when pointing at a kitty or one of his toys. Da seems to be a universal word in Noah's mind. It works for anything.

12-month Well Baby Check

Here are the stats from Noah's December MD visit.
Height: 28.75 inches (15th percentile)
Weight: 19.8 lbs (7th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18.5 inches (50th percentile)
Weight for Length: 25th percentile

Noah had an ear infection which we had treated at Urgent Care a couple of weeks prior to his 12-month appointment. The infection had not yet cleared by the time we visited his pediatrician for his well baby check so he received his second dose of antibiotics. The second dose seems to have worked. Noah didn't complain too much about his ears, but I think it might have interfered with his hearing a bit because he started saying his first couple of words after the infection had been treated.
